CLAXTON, GA - Betty C. Hames, passed away September 15, 2012 under the care of Hospice in Savannah.
She was a native of Augusta, Ga., and a long time resident of Claxton, Ga. Over the years she was a member of numerous clubs and organizations. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved traveling and entertaining in her home. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Dr. Curtis G. Hames, Sr. and son Dr. Richard Christopher Hames.
She is survived by her son Dr. Curtis Hames, Jr. Edwina of Claxton, granddaughter Buffi Baltz Roy, great grandchildren Ellee and Noah, step grandchildren Chas and Cavan Bray and Casey Deen, and 5 step great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held in Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery 2o'clock Sunday, September 16, 2012.
In lieu of flowers the family requests remembrances be made to the Dr. Curtis G. Hames Chair, Medical College of Georgia Foundation, Augusta, Ga. or the Claxton First United Methodist Church, Claxton, Ga.
